Shreveport–Bossier City has experienced significant economic growth in recent years, driven by major developments such as the opening of a $1-billion Amazon fulfillment center and the launch of an heirloom carbon-capture facility at The Port of Caddo-Bossier, which is bringing more than 1,000 jobs to the region. The area continues to expand its healthcare and professional services footprint. The Cyber Research Park has added over 1,000 new jobs, while the Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program (EAP) has launched over 160 startups and raised over $500 million in capital over the past ten years. Additionally, the Resilient Technology Park secured approval to build a 2.8 million-square-foot data center facility.

retail and entertainment follow suit with new casino openings and multi-million dollar upgrades to existing entertainment casino operations.
